Over the last thirty years, Latin American art has witnessed dynamic movement between local, regional, and global art spaces, transforming practices, markets and audiences. The explosion of artists circulating in a manner described by critic Gerardo Mosquera as “glocally” (globally and locally) reveals a fluidity: passports have been exchanged for post-national identities permitting physical and cultural exchange. This increase in movement contributes to a notion of the continent as plural and diverse.
